Shift is: M-F 7AM 3:30PM at Operations & Maintenance. Responsible for District-Wide grounds keeping, turf management, vehicle/equipment maintenance, athletic field layouts/setups, irrigation systems, snow removal/surface treatment, pest/herbicide control, equipment parts & material procurement, and other duties as assigned. Provide additional technical and supervisory capacity in support of the Athletic/Grounds Supervisor.
Qualifications: Experience in, and good working knowledge of grounds keeping, turf management, vehicle/equipment maintenance, athletic field setups/layouts/lining of athletic fields, irrigation systems, athletics/playground equipment, and snow removal/surface treatment, & pest/herbicide control. Highly motivated with the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment. Ability to follow oral and written instructions from supervisors; Willingness to perform routine maintenance and other manual tasks; Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment; Thoroughness; Attention to detail; Dependability; Good physical condition. A valid NYS Drivers license is required.
