Job Description

Bethlehem Central School District is currently seeking applications for a probationary 10 month, 3.75 hour per day Food Service Helper, effective April 6, 2026.  Vacancy is a floater position and may travel to various buildings.  Schedule is 3.75 hours per day from 10:30am- 2:15pm when school is in session.

Responsible for overall kitchen operation and ordering some food Meet USDA meal program regulations Receiving and inventory tasks Works on the tray lines serving designated portions per menus; Fills food carts and delivers foods to designated areas; Assists in the preparation of salads and desserts; Washes dishes, pots and pans by hand or machine; Sweeps, mops and cleans kitchen; May act as cashier

Job Qualifications

Must be able to stand for entire shift and lift up to 25 pounds; working knowledge of the proper methods of serving food; ability to follow oral and written directions
